| I know that the process of
trying to obtain Social Security disability benefits can
be long and frustrating. I also know that it is often
unrealistic to expect those with serious physical or mental
impairments to keep track of legal deadlines, identify
and properly analyze relevant Social Security regulations,
develop appropriate and persuasive medical evidence, and
effectively present their claims before an Administrative
Law Judge. There is no need for disability claimants to
fight through the process unassisted. The law allows you
to be represented in your claim for benefits, and statistics
from the Social Security Administration show that represented
claimants prevail on their claims far more often than
those who choose to go it alone.
Over the past 15 years, I have represented hundreds
of individuals in their claims for Social Security Disability
Insurance benefits, and SSI benefits in the Portland
area. I have a limited, hands-on practice, in which
Social Security representation is a primary focus. Unlike
some larger offices, where legal assistants manage hundreds
of files, I maintain personal contact with all of my
clients, and I am always available to answer their questions.
